Our Philosophy

Kiwis are well travelled and respected around the world  for  our ability  to  adapt, innovation and general physical toughness.
We love a challenge, mental or physical and will often take the path less travelled, just because we can ! Geographically,  our  climate  is  fairly unique, with high humidity  and  rain fall, water, snow and mud, yet  in  other parts of our country it’s dry and arid.
Grisport NZ’s driving ambition is to strive to provide footwear that is best suited for our NZ conditions and the Kiwi lifestyle.
 
Field  trials  are  an  important part  of  our selection process. If  it  doesn’t perform  in  the field  it  doesn’t make the range.
Our footwear  trials have taken  us  from  the  building  site  to  the factory  floor, from the glorious open South Island mountain
high country to the wet canopied bush blocks in the North Island and everywhere in between.
 
The Grisport NZ collection is born on the foothills of the Dolomite mountains in Italy. With steep mountainous terrain and a climate that includes  hot  summers and significant rainfall and snow  in  winter. It  is  no co-incidence that it is right at home here in NZ. 
We work closely with the Italian factory to ensure that Kiwi styles and needs are met. Some of the styles we offer are also made exclusively for us Kiwis, giving  us  the best  of  both worlds - access to Italian flair and quality - designs specifically tailored  for Kiwis.
